G'day, I'm Michael — a retired Engineer, Surveyor and Teacher of those disciplines. Living in beautiful Tasmania, Australia I taught myself to code to build the app I always wished existed. I wanted a personal assistant that was truly private and secure — one that didn't send my memories to a cloud server, didn't require an account, and couldn't be read by anyone but me. When I couldn't find one, I built Rix.

With a lot of help from AI, I turned that vision into reality — proving that with the right tools, anyone can build something meaningful.
